Ahead of the High Court hearing on 9 and 10 October over the Sutton Council’s approval of Viridor’s application to build an incinerator on land forming part of a protected area at Beddington Farmlands, the RSPB highlight the wildlife at risk at this important south London site, and how the application is in breach of Government plans as well as Viridor’s own Conservation Management Plan and conditions set out in the 1995 (amended 2005) planning applications.
