Defending the patch – Birdwatch article

Beddington Farmlands has a long ornithological history and regarding as one of the best sites for birds in Greater London. In the May 2014 issue of Birdwatch magazine, local conservationist, naturalist and Beddington Farm Bird Group member, Peter Alfrey, writes about why Beddington Farmlands is so important for wildlife, as well as the threats facing the farmlands, and how determined local action is working towards creating a flagship urban nature reserve at this important site.
